The Preserve at West Beach is located on Galveston Island, a barrier island on the Texas Gulf about 50 miles southeast of Houston. The proposed development is located on a 1,058-acre former ranch and is designed as a preservation community.The community will include 3,948 residential units, comprised of single family homes, attached single family and mid-rise condominiums. The development has also been planned to include a 15-story resort hotel, an 18-hole golf course and a marina.
Foxford, LLC and Wyndham Deerpoint Homes have combined their respective properties into a master planned community to be known as the “Settlements of LaFox”. The Settlements of LaFox plan includes 1,247 acres of land. The plan was approved by the Kane County Development Committee on February 20, 2007.
In the Fall of 2006, Land Vision, Inc. was chosen by the City of St. Charles to study and revise a specific area of the current Comprehensive Plan and to develop a Land Use Recommendation Plan. The intent of this Land Use Study is to provide directions for decisions related to the future growth and development within the study area.
